We carry out environmental recovery projects in deteriorated natural spaces

Restoring and recovering deteriorated beaches is another of the lesser-known tasks INCASÒL carries out, whether in conjunction with urban growth or in open or protected areas.

The Violí estate, in the Ebro River delta, was part of the Alfacada lagoon, which was dried up to use as a rice paddy and later fell into disuse. INCASÒL carried out the environmental restoration of this space with support from the European Union LIFE Nature and Biodiversity sub-programme, and more specifically the EU LIFE Delta Lagoon project to restore and manage the habitat of the coastal lagoons in the Ebro Delta. The project carried out aimed to restore the original landscape, creating two lagoons with a system of feeder canals, right next to Tancada lagoon, within the municipal limits of Sant Jaume d’Enveja (Montsià county), one of the wetlands with the greatest ecological interest in the Ebro River delta. The project culminated with the creation of coastal woods that complete the biotopes that make up the delta landscape.
